Pre Generation

Before the creation of the computer there was a instrament that was called the abacus it was a Primitive form of  Calculator. the most well known area that it comes from is china it was also mans first venture twards automating the counting process. Even if it was not a real automatic machine it was still a machine that was used to keep track of the current state of the calculation. With the abacus the people of that time could prefourm more calulations than they could with thier hands or feet.
The abacus was not the onlly pre generation computer / device there were others that were starting to point towards the computers. the devices i speak of are the mechanical clock wich was not a computer but it would tell the time by the pre- programed clock wich would work in the manner of the weights and the swining of the pendulm the innerworking gears would turn the clock hands. another device is the Blaise pascal calculator it was supposedly the first real calculator wich addtions and subtractions were carried out by using a series of very light rotating wheels it later became the car odometers wich we use in our cars every day.

there was the loom it was an ancestor to the ibm puncards. in the 1800's there was a man named charles babbage he was clamed to be a genius and his inventon proved him to be so "He designed and built a model of what was called the difference engine This invention was designed to perform calculations without human intervention. The ultimate goal of the machine was to have the machine calculate logarithm tables and print the results." because of the complexity of the machine the only one ever built in his time was a small model.
