Dreamworks was founded on October 12 1994 by Steven Spielberg, Jeffery Katzenburg, David Geffen Dreamworks released it's first movie in 1997 called "the peacemaker" staring George Clooney and Nicole Kidman the following movie the realsed "Amistad" was nominated for 4 Academy Awards. the first animated moives they released were “Antz” and “The Prince of Egypt". Dreamworks had worked with sony, paramount, Universal, Warner Bros and other studio's to create high grossing moives. dreamworks has com to be one of the biggest and well known moive comapys in north-america from starting off as a small comapny to be comming one of the biggest we can tell it will be while before we see the last of dreamworks. dreamworks has made sevral changes over the years like haveing seprate studios and locations but the whole idea of what it meant 18 years ago still hsan't changed to this day. they work to make bigger and better looking moive's like "transfromer's" but also still retaint the orignal style of 3d animating like "Kung-fu panda". but in the wrold to day it is well known for it's 3d animation as pixar is to.
